Bulkhead Uplight

In spaces where the ceiling height may change or where bulkheads hide vital services it is the ideal opportunity to create an integrated uplighting detail. This creates a feature, whilst lifting the ceiling and proviging indirect, ambient illumination. If bulkhead details extend on two or more sides within a room, you then have the options to continue on all sides and create a ceiling coffer detail. The concealed lighting creates high contrast between the raises ceiling section and the lower outer perimeter, whilst lighting the vertical face joining the two.

MONO provide a wide range of lighting options to provide seamless, integrated ceiling coffer lighting solutions, for both commercial and residential applications. To aid in the design process we have provided CAD drawings for a range of typical coffer dimensions using the MONO product range.

Perimeter Slots

Perimeter slot details are a great way to emphasis vertical surfaces, whilst accentuating the height of the space, creating a feature of the wall/ceiling junction and providing indirect, ambient and low glare illumination to the space. The concealed lighting creates high contrast between the wall and ceiling; however, excessive luminance/contrast can lead to the ceiling appearing dark and heavy.

Ceiling Coffer

The ceiling coffer has long been a staple diet for lighting designers and architects. It's a great way to create a ceiling feature within the space, whilst at the same time providing indirect illumination. The concealed lighting creates high contrast between the central raise ceiling section and the lower outer perimeter. However, excessive luminance/contrast can lead to the outer perimeter ceiling appearing dark and gloomy.
